INSIDE DOUGLAS COLLEGE / JANUARY 30, 1990 The University of Winnipeg Search for dean or director of continuing education The University of Winnipeg in- vites applications and nominations for the position of Dean or Director of its Division of Continuing Educa- tion. The appointment will be for a five year term commencing July 1, 1990. The U. of Winnipeg provides degree programs for over 7,500 full and part-time students, non-credit programs for over 4,000 students and a Collegiate program for some 600 high school students. The Division of Continuing Education, located adjacent to the main cam- pus on Portage Avenue in the heart of the city, is responsible for a broad range of courses, certificates, and Briefs diplomas as well as extension credit programs. As the senior officer respon- sible for continuing education in the University, the Dean or Director will be a successful academic who can provide dynamic and progres- sive leadership for the Division. Candidates will have a strong back- ‘ground in adult or continuing education, effective management and interpersonal skills, and a com- mitment to program development in close co-operation with the University’s Faculties and Col- legiate. Hello Dollies! fea- tures many dolls from the Museums collection, from rare early paper dolls to composition dolls from the 1950's, and their many accessory items, as well as "dolly" advertisements from turn of the century catalogues. It proved to be so popular during the holiday season that the museum staff have decided to leave it up until May 1. The Historic Centre and Museum are currently on their winter schedule.
