INSIDE DOUGLAS COLLEGE / APRIL 18, 1989 Criminology students from Ottawa’ s Algonquin College visited Douglas College recently. They. were billeted by Douglas College Criminology students who were in Ottawa last November studying the Canadian Justice system. The exchange was organized by Douglas College Criminology instructors Gary Parkinson and Linda Weafer. Retirement Party Appreciated It was a pleasant surprise on Friday, April 7th, to find so many of my College friends at the joint retirement party in the Douglas Room. The gifts you so kindly gave to me will certainly come in handy on our "camping holidays". I appreciate you taking the time from what I know are busy schedules to come and say au revoir, not good-bye, because I intend to come back and join in on the "extra" activities which the College has available for community members. My approach to retirement is both with anticipation and trepida- tion: the anticipation to be able to do all those things there has not been time for over the years; the trepidation in that I know I will miss all of you and the hustle and bustle of college life. Having the opportunity to work with you over the years has been a pleasure. This includes administrators, faculty, staff and students. Your support has meant a great deal to me. Again, many thanks for everything. Gena Ballantyne To All My Friends at Douglas: Thanks for ten great years!
