The agreement is designed to help high school students get a head start on their college studies. The first cooperative program will involve selected Commerce and Business courses offered at any Douglas College campus. In the new program, secondary students with strong grades in such subjects as accounting, business management, and computer science will either be granted credit for introductory college courses or else be given opportunities to challenge the courses by taking comprehensive exams. The second program connects the College’s Physical Education and Coaching Diploma programs with Coquitlam’s schools ina “two-plus-two-plus-two” program. This involves a coordinated series of courses linking two years of secondary school with two years of college and two years of university courses in physical education. Both programs are supported by the B.C. government’s Skills Now Innovation Funds. & SESE aS aN SRR BP SR a a ree Competition open for innovative lecture series funding The Leon and Thea Koerner Foundation will again be accepting applications for the College and University College Lecture Series Competition.
