COLLEGE ASSEMBLY???

Is "college assembly" what it claims to be? Or,
is it more a faculty-administrative forum?

What about the issue of no time release for staff
to attend assembly? If they are excluded, is the
assembly a college assembly?

What about student participation? Since the assembly
does not vote on issues why are students excluded?

If the students are not included in the assembly,
should we refer to it as a college assembly any
longer?

We must resolve such issues if there is to be a

College Assembly.

Without a College Assembly, how will crucial issues
be given meaningful consideration? Just such an
issue will be agenda item #2.

THE EDUCATIONAL PLAN

The second Draft of the Educational Plan will be
presented -- this will soon become a formal submission
to the Department of Education for one of the key
approvals described at the last College Assembly

(Oct. 28).

This is the important opportunity for you to influence
the educational direction of the College and the
composition of its permanent campuses.
