These Stagecraft students were setting the light cues in the Studio Theatre for the Theatre Department’s production of Les Belles Soeurs, which opened on Friday, December 3. The play follows the stories of working-class women in Mont- real’s east end, and is a celebration of the strength of the human spirit. Performances continue from Dec. 3-11 at 8pm, with 2pm matinees on Dec. 5 and 11. BCGEU notes Educational Training Fund update Effective immediately, Corrie Epp (local 5199) is responsible for the Educational Training Fund. Remember that the form to use is legal size with a section at the bot- tom for the Supervisor’s comments and also for the Dean’s signature. Any mem- ber who has received funding must submit an expense form along with the original re- ceipts. There is minimal funding available. Use of Stewards Anne Fenton would like to remind members who require information or assistance from stewards that they should utilize the services of all stewards. Also, keep in mind that stewards have jobs to do, so meetings should be arranged during a mutually agreed-upon lunch hour. Room 1337 (in the Phys.Ed. field base) is available for this purpose. Stewards are there to provide support and answer que- ries, but please be considerate of their time. During negotiations, Christine Fredericks, Glen James and Anne Fenton will not be available for other union duties, e.g. grievances. ml
