That's probably why the Douglas College Community Programmer was recently named winner of the Physical Education Society of B.C. Annual Award. "It’s given annually to a profes- sional in physical education who has contributed time, energy, and expertise in advocating physical education," says Society president Mo MacKendrick. "Chris is being recognized for the outstanding contributions to physical education that he makes every day, and has been making for many years. His energy and ex- uberance are constant." The Physical Education Society advocates and promotes physical education in B.C. It also functions as a liaison with decision makers in other organizations and with the provincial Ministry of Education. "It’s a tremendous honour," says Johnson. "There are many others who deserve the award." &
