Modern Languages Instructor Sabine Mabardi The Educational Leave (1994/95) allowed me to complete the course work toward a doctorate in Latin American studies at SFU, to travel to Mexico to work with a group of scholars from many countries on a Rockefeller Foundation project to revise Mexican art history, and do research in several archives in New York and New England for my part in the project. I learned more in the past year than I had in quite a while. At the same time, I am more aware of that still needs to be learned.
