offered

The Certified General Accountants
Association of BC offers the Adult
Secondary Completion Scholarship to
mature students who have completed an
Adult Scondary Diploma or passed the
GED exams and plan to enter the CGA
program. If you know of students who
may qualify for this $600 study credit,
they can get an application form by
calling 732-1211.

Advisory Committees

The Association of Canadian
Community Colleges (ACCC) is
beginning the process of recruiting
qualified and dedicated individuals to
serve on the decision-making bodies of
the ACCC.

The call for nominations went out in
early March to all member institutions.

to publish a brief summary of their activities in INside. Watch

for further summaries.

Modern Languages Instructor Sabine Mabardi

The Educational Leave (1994/95)
allowed me to complete the course
work toward a doctorate in Latin
American studies at SFU, to travel to
Mexico to work with a group of
scholars from many countries on a
Rockefeller Foundation project to
revise Mexican art history, and do
research in several archives in New
York and New England for my part in
the project. I learned more in the past
year than I had in quite a while. At

 

the same time, I am more aware of
that still needs to be learned. Ithas _
been wonderful to be a full-time _
student for a year; I hope my students
will find me more in tune with their
needs as students. — :
