Season’s Greetings, everyone!

Welcome to the special holiday edition of The
Other Press. Because you’ve all been such good girls
and boys this year, we’re rewarding you with a sack full
of brilliant journalism, not to mention a few embar-
rassing photos. Check out the centre spread for
pictures of Other Pressers from Christmases past, as
well as some shots from our recent holiday festivities.

We’ve wrapped up loads of other goodies for you
this week, too. Check out Brandon Ferguson’s hilarious,
yet disturbing, Christmas-themed “News to Peruse,
\muse, and Confuse.” Or, if you’re looking for some
thing the whole family can enjoy, perhaps Kali
Thurber’s review of 1 Christmas Carol or Kerry Evans’
feature on Christmas charities would be more your
speed. Plus, I take my first stab at pinch-hitting for CI
with “The ‘Other’ Way Things Sometimes Are” col-
umn in Opinions, and Darren Paterson shares his wish
list with us in Sports. Wow, that’s some great reading
material; looks like Christmas came early for you this
year,

On a sadder note, A&E Editor Kali Thurber has
passed away. Well, okay, she’s not actually “dead” or
anyth but she has decided to cut us loose. The love-
ly Ms. Thurber will be moving on to bigger and better

things (like going to Hawaii, no fair!) and thus, this will

be her last issue with us. We will all miss her y oaimenleCe an

and for all her hard work and entertaining ale reToaRUYS
would like to thank her from the bottom of our black
and broken hearts.
