Call for nominations - George Wootton Scholarship Two scholarships in honor of George Wootton, the first president of Douglas College, are available this year to graduating students in any program who have shown superior scholastic ability and significant participation in college and community activities. Candidates for the George Wootton Scholarship must be nominated by a student, staff or faculty member. Nominations must include a letter of recommendation giving the reasons for the nomination.
