Do your students need a change from writing their term papers?
Why not suggest a video tape, slide show or film? Students are often
more excited about working with media equipment than they are at the
prospect of a traditional term paper. If they are interested in doing
-a media assignment, tell them to drop by Equipment Loans at IRC - Surrey
or have them call local 249 Surrey. Do warn them though that producing
a video tape, slide show, or film often takes more time than expected
and they are advised to start working on it shortly.

ADVANCED SKILLS IN ADULT EDUCATICN COURSE

A C.E. course designed for people who teach adults in a wide
variety of settings, is being offered at Douglas this semester. The
course will cover the characteristics of the adult learner, effective
classroom presentation (Including instruction in AV equipment), setting
objective and evaluation. Students who undertake certain out-of-class
activities, will receive a Continuing Education Certificate of Success-

ful Completion (no grade credit). The course will be offered in Surrey
and Coquitlam.
