Theatre Department's production
of “Anne of Green Gables” raised
over one thousand dollars for the
CKNW’s Orphan’s Fund.

The inspiration to hold a
benefit performance came to the
play’s director Dorothy Jones while
she was listening to CKNW during
the Orphan’s Fund annual herring
sale. “It suddenly struck me that
” Anne" is an orphan," said Jones.
“Why not turn over the proceeds
from one performance to assist in
the work of the Orphan’s Fund?”
