World AIDS Day: World AIDS Day, December 1, (sponsored by the World Health Organization) will focus attention on the worldwide effort against AIDS by encouraging governments and communities, groups and individuals to talk about AIDS. The B.C. Task Force on AIDS, Women and Children have asked Douglas College students and faculty to offer some help on the B.C. scene in the following ways: Needed: one or two women to apply for a grant for a "safe house" for HIV positive women who are drug users but need to keep off the street. Students and faculty welcome - volunteer position could lead to employment possibility. Needed: Women who are willing to become involved in support-trans-agency team work for helping women with AIDS or whose spouse has AIDS.
