The person who finished ahead of Dobson was Alex Bauman, the fastest person in the world in that event. Serge Score finished second in his two best events, 100 and 200m breatstroke, for Score, the person who finished ahead of him is also the fastest in the world in both events. Two other swimmers from Douglas College, also on the - Hyaks are Bruce Berger, who had it tough going into the meet due to the heavy training (he was doing 100,00 metres a week) yet, Bruce managed to tie for a bronze in the 400m Freestyle.5th in 1500m free style, 16th in 200m free. Brian Metcalf, who also swims breastroke, swam to best times, but failed to make of @ +g any finals. Brian retired after the meet and is now a full time coach at the Hyak Swim Club. Both Dobson and Score qualified for the World Stu- dent games, held in Edmonton this summer yet they will de- cline selection to this team for they will be setting — their sights (Berger also) on Canad- ian Summer Nationals, which will be the trials for the Pan Am Games in Venezuela and the Pan Pacfic Games in Tok- yo. by Monique Dobson ( OTHER BUSINESS ) Walk For Your Life On Saturday, March 23, at 12:00 p.m., Vancouver will be holding its annual Peace March, starting in Kitsilano and proceeding to Sunset Beach.
