East Kootenay Community College requires a Media Librarian. This is a regular
full-time Faculty position.

Under the supervision of the Manager of Learning Resources, the Media Librarian
is, among other things, responsible for the coordination of media services and
KNOW programming; the provision of instructional development services and
professional reference support in the Library to College staff and students.

- Master's degree or equivalent in Education or Librarianship with specialized
training in librarianship, instructional development, educational technology
and media services.

- Knowledge of post-secondary educational systems as they pertain to the
library, instructional development, educational technology and all forms of
media hardware and software.

- Good judgment, ingenuity and initiative and ability to adapt to changing

situations with ease and control. Ability to communicate clearly and
effectively.

- 3 - 5 years related experience.

Hours of Work:

35 hour work week, normally between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Salary

Salary schedule per Collective Agreement between E.K.C.C. and E.K.C.C. Faculty
Assoctation.
