Van With a Plan

Personnel’s Wendy Billis is trying to
organize a van pool from Maple Ridge to
the New Westminster Campus. If seven
people can get together for this purpose,
the Jack Bell Foundation will provide the
van. The anticipated start date for the pool
is September 3, to follow a schedule of
Monday-Friday, 9am-Spm, at a cost of
$95 a month. Anyone interested should
give Wendy a call at local 5670.

David Lam

In co-operation with the Dispensing
Optician Program, a retail optical facility
will be up and running at the David Lam
Campus by October. All optical services,
from contact lens fittings to the latest in
designer frames, will be available at the

Thinks Ahead

The Cookbook Committee will be
compiling recipes over the next year for a
new cookbook planned for fall, 1997.
Douglas College Cooks: Low Fat and
Vegetarian Dishes will need a good
selection of main and side dishes,
appetizers and desserts, so start thinking
