YEARS OF MAKING A DIFFERENCE 1970-1990 Nig BE e pos College is celebrating its 20th Annniversary starting this September and running through to June of 1990. Several college-wide events and projects have already been proposed and approved in principle by both the 20-Year Celebration steering committee and management committee. These include: > A Homecoming Weekend sponsored by the Alumni Association ~> Douglas Day Celebration ~> A college-wide Open House ~ A special 20th Anniversary Graduation Ceremony > A ‘20 Years of Making a Difference’ historical perspective of Douglas College Al s pat of the 20th Anniversary Celebration, the steering committee has set aside seed money for activities generated by the disciplines and departments. This money will be allocated by the steering commnittee to help fund suitable 20-Year Celebration proposals. Criteria: > Proposals for the fall 1989 semester must be submitted to the steering committee before May 30th, 1989. ~ Proposals for the spring 1990 semester must be submitted to the steering coninittee before October 15th, 1989. ~ Proposals should outline how they will help the College achieve its 20-Y ear Celebration goal & objectives. > A detailed budget not to exceed $500 should be attached (publicity costs not included). bor further information, contact Bill Bell by calling local 5327.
