Proud class of 2005 On June 1 and 2, over 1,400 students from Douglas College's seven Faculties received their hard-earned diplomas, associate degrees, certificates and citations. Of those students, 140 of them also received the Gold Cord Award for placing in the top 10 percent of their class. Six ceremonies marked the occasion, with receptions held outdoors at the Ceremonial Entrance between the College and the Student's Union. This was a change from the three ceremonies of past years followed by a reception in the Concourse. "The success of graduation this year was beyond our expectations,” says Christine Kerr, Graduation Coordinator. "The words ‘thank you’ don't even begin to cover it when it comes to everyone who helped out with graduation-it was really a group effort.” For more photos of the graduation ceremonies, check the Douglas College home page at Marketing instructor Gail Tibbo (right) shares a laugh with www.douglas.bc.ca for our Graduation Photo Album. graduate Munir Amlani. all Office Administration Certificate - Legal Criminology instructor John Fleming smiles Hotel and Restaurant Management instructors Anton Kosztyo Administrative Assistant graduate Robert with Youth Justice Program graduates (back left) and Mary Blachut (far right) are surrounded by happy Juco happily poses for the camera.
