Flindall, the Delinquent Accounts Clerk in the Accounting Department, spearheaded a December drive to assemble Christmas food packages for six needy families. “Normally we exchange gifts in the Accounting Department, but this year we decided to do something to help someone. I sent a memo around, and we got one hundred percent support.” The Accounting Department took on two families through a New Westminster Police Service program, and challenged the Registrar’s Office, who did the same. Facilities Services and Personnel chipped in by supporting one family each. Staff from al] those departments contributed generously, putting together baskets containing assorted groceries, vouchers for turkeys, chocolates, stockings for the children, and other small gifts.
