First Annual Nordic Ski Weekend, March 2, 3 and 4

Responding to your many requests, I have arranged a cross-country
ski weekend at 100-Mile House for Douglas College faculty and
staff, non-smokers only. Bring a sleeping-bag (you'll be in
cabins); a woollen hat - not synthetic; ski knickers or slacks -
not jeans, and gloves - not mitts. I am arranging the car-pool,
cf. below. If you are a passenger, please, give your driver

$6.00 for each way. Food and beverages for breakfasts and lunches
will be provided, and please ensure I receive Section B below
with a deposit of $20.00 per person, non-refundable. Cheques
should be payable to "Guenter's Ski Centre".

I hope to make this an annual event. Please be aware I'l]
receive no recompense for this. The donation of my time is what
contributes to keeping the overall cost so exceptionally low.

Prices: Accommodation with breakfasts and lunches $20.00/weekend,
Instruction and guided tours $15.00 for weekend.

Saturday's dinner $6.00

Equipment rental $10.00 for weekend. (Guenter has an equipment
shop where you may wish to purchase at excellent prices. )

SECTION A: Schedule:

Friday, March 2nd: Leave from outdoor parking lot of Royal Towers
Hotel (Douglas College side) at 2:45 p.m.
- 5:00 p.m. meet for dinner at the Alpen Haus Restaurant, Hope.
- 6:00 p.m. resume journey to Guenter's. On arrival ski-gear
allotted to those renting. Nightcap.

Saturday, March 3rd: (separate agenda for advanced skiers, TBA.)
- 10:00 a.m. - Noon. Beginners' lesson by Valerie
Intermediates' lesson by Guénter

- noon - 1:30 p.m Lunch
- 1:30 - 3:30 p.m Beginners’ tour by Valerie
- 1:36 - 4:30 p.m Intermediates’ tour by Guenter

6:30 p.m...... Dinner by Guenter, followed with revelries
in Recreation Room OR go into town for dinner,
dancing or whatever. (Please note that cooking
your own dinner on the premises is not an
option. )

Sunday, March 4th:
- 10:00 -11:00 a.m. Beginners’ lesson by Valerie
Intermediates' lesson by Guenter

- 11:00 - noon Beginners’ tour by Guenter

- 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. Intermediates’ tour by Valerie

= 2530. PM. ween, Departure. Some may wish to go straight

home. Others meet same place in Hope for
dinner. (Table not reserved for return trip.)
