Where Is Our Future?

Women and College Education in B.C.
Conference
May 3 - 5, 1985
at Douglas College

Sponsored by: College - Institute
Educators of B.C. and the Status of Women
Committee.

What is the future for women in British
Columbia's colleges and institutes? Our
already limited access to education is
being further threatened by restraint bud-
gets and cuts to program and services.

This conference will offer participants
the opportunity to:

. examine key issues concerning women and
the colleges

. present and discuss new research on women
and post-secondary education

learn and share effective planning,
publicity and lobbying skills

. build networks between women in the
college system and women in the community

develop strategies for improving women's
access to post-secondary education

The conference is open to all. It is
directed toward all possible users of the
colleges, interested people from the
community and those working within the
college-institute system.
