TOTEM BASKETBAI.L Douglas Men Close Season with 102 — 64 Romp Over Capilano College In Friday night action at the Arenex, ‘Queen's Park, the Douglas Men's Basketball Team easily manhandled Capilano College in an exceedingly fast moving game to end the season successfully. Capilano started de- terminedly, with good solid rebounding, and had some command during the first five min- utes. Thereafter, Vouglas found the range and took charge. MIKE DENDYS, as a guard, played as if his life depended on it, and top-scored with 19 points. RICK FUNK, with 18 points, was also outstanding. ROY DIMOND, hit for 16 points. (Roy is to have a carti- lage operation Wednesday.) It has been a very successful season for the team, and considerable credit is due the playing coacnes, 4UGH DAVIES and RALPH SWITCH. TOTEM CONFERENCE BADIINTON Douglas Women Perform well at Arenex Tournament, Saturday. Again, it was Vancouver City Colles. who dominated play at a Douglas- hosted Badminton Tournament between the Colleges, February 23rd. Douglas points were compiled mostly by its women's representatives. In Ladies’ Singles, BEV GREEN was third, and KAREN MORLEY was fourth. In Ladies' Doubles BEV GREEN and ANN BAIN were second. Kerry Holloway of Capilano won the Singles, and Faith Dohm and Marjorie Lov of ER FR STD V.C.C., won the Doubles. In an exceptionally strong field of Men's Singles »layers MAHMUD LALANI of Douglas was four: in Double elimination competition.
