JOB OPPORTUNITY - ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

 

An Administrative Assistnat is needed for the Canadian Amateur Swim-
ming Association, B.C. Section.

Responsibilities: To manage office and supervise two part-time staff;
to assist the Executive officers and Board of Directors; to compile
reports; to liaise with four Regional Directors and to travel within
B.C. and Canada as necessary.

Qualifications: A university degree in Physical Education or Diploma
in Recreational Leadership preferred and experience in office manage-
ment and/or supervision of community recreation desirable.

Salary: Starting range $15,000 - $18,000 per annum depending upon
experience. Standard benefits and full travel expenses.

JOB OPPORTUNITY - INSTRUCTOR

 

Northwest Community College requires an Instructor in Resource Manage-
ment with the ability to teach first and second year university transfer
courses in BIOLOGY.

Preferred qualifications:

1) Minimum of a Master's degree in the instructional area, or the
equivalent.

2) Specialization in fisheries and/or forestry.

3) A commitment to community-oriented teaching.

4) Knowledge of and/or field experience in Northwest B.C. Program
Development experience would be an asset.

This opening is a one-year temporary position which may be extended
subject to receiving adequate funding and the approval of the College
Board. Appointments will commence August 15, 1979. Salary will

depend on qualifications and experience and be according to the Faculty
Union scale. There is a generous range of fringe benefits.

Northwest Community College covers the area between Houston and the
Queen Charlotte Islands, and between Stewart and Kitimat. The main
campus is located at Terrace. Considerable travelling to various
communities will be necessary.
