sa 20 Year Anniversary Proposals - Deadline is Fast Approaching There’s still time to submit proposals for the 20th Anniversary Celebration. But hurry - the deadline for fall proposals is May 30 - and that’s only two weeks away. Seed money is available to help college departments and disciplines organize events and activities during Douglas College’s 20th Year Anniversary Celebration, which will run from September, 1989 until June, 1990. Fall proposals are due in two weeks, but proposals for next spring aren’t due until October 15. Proposals should designate a specific time for the event, include a budget not exceeding $500, and outline how the project will help the College achieve its 20-Year Celebration goals and objectives. “We’re looking for projects students and faculty would like to do at the department level as their part of the celebration,” said Gordon Gilgan, chairman of the 20th Anniversary Steering Committee. “Every week something will be highlighted. That’s why we’re calling for proposals. We’re prepared to coordinate activities and provide resources to help departments celebrate the anniversary.” For more information about how your department can help celebrate “Twenty years of Making a Difference” at Douglas College, contact Bill Bell by calling local 4832.
