DOUGLAS COLLEGE LIBRARY * “A DOUGLAS COLLEGE FIRST For the first time in our short history, Douglas College this year commissioned playwright Sharon Pollock to write a play for the college to produce. The result will be staged March 31 through April 3 at the Surrey Centen- nial Arts Centre and is called "My Name is Lisbeth". This play is about the Lizzie Borden murders of 1829 and the central character of Lizzie will be portrayed by Sharon herself. I am directing the production, and a number of my theatre program students will be participating in it. Sharon will be available ata reception following opening night to discuss the play with members of the audience, so why don't you join us to mark this oecasion in the college's history, and for "refreshments' after- wards.
