; ead DOUGLAS | ARCHIVES MASTER'S DEGREE IN EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION The University of Victoria offers a cooperative program of studies and field experience, leading to the degree of Master of Education. Students will spend part of their time in residence at the Uni- versity and part in a position of responsibility with the sponsoring organization - a school district, a community college, the Ministry of Education, or an educational association. The internship position will involve conducting a research project, designed in conjunction with the Ministry and/or sponsoring organization and completing a a variety of administrative assignments. During the work term, applicants will receive a salary of $1,700/month, paid by a spon- soring organization. The course of study will be both theoretical and practical and has been developed in consultation with educational administrators and officials in the Ministry and in the field. The program will be fourteen months in duration, consisting of two summer sessions and an intervening winter session. The latter will be spent partly on campus and partly in the field internship. Candidates must meet the requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Faculty of Education: (1) a baccalaureate degree from a recognized university, or its equivalent, with a minimum average grade of "B" (70%) on the most recent 30 units of senior undergraduate work, (2) two letters of reference from senior field personnnel, and (3) at least one year of administrative experience. Preference will be given to applicants with high academic standing, excellent references and successful administrative experience. In practical terms, we can now afford to order materials at a rate of less than one- third of our previous practice. The library is asking, therefore, that you place orders only for outstanding items of direct rele- vance to the cirriculum. In most cases, only one copy can be ordered.
