Dear Colleague: During the first week of classes, the Counselling and Student Services Division of the college will be sponsoring an Orientation Programme for all new students. This letter Is to request your assIstance In making that programme a success. e The first week of classes Is always a busy one for the faculty and staff but for the new student It is,in addition, a scary, confusing time. We hope that through the Orlentation Programme some anxieties and confustons may be eased and that the new student will discover that s/he Is Indeed at the centre of our concern. The Women's Studies Program at Simon Fraser University expects to make appointments beginning in the Fall of 1977.* People with expertise in Women's Studies and one of the following are preferred: Social Sciences, History, Communications, Philosophy, Biological Sciences, Canadian Studies, Third World Studies, Fine Arts. The appointment may be joint with the appropriate university department or may be full time in the Women's Studies Program. Canadian candidates with teaching experience in Women's Studies will be given preference.
