GOOD NEWS! ‘The Vancouver Foundation
has accepted the College's challenge:
and will make matching grants to the!
Endowment Fund of $50,000 a year
commencing 1984, and in each of the |
two succeeding calendar years.

The acceptance of this challenge is |
dependent upon the College, through |
the Douglas College Student Trust, |
depositing $50,000 a year for the
same three year period. The College |
has deposited with the Foundation of |
the sum of $10.000 to establish the |
Endowment Fund and with the accep- |
tance of this challenge, $50,000 as
the deposit for 1984.

As special information - with the
success of the joint efforts of the .«
Vancouver Foundation and the Douglas |
College Student Trust, the capital off
the Endowment Fund will stand at a
minimum of $310,000 at the end of the
three-year challenge period.

The income of the Fund will be used
to provide a good number of scholar- |
ships and bursaries, commencing in
1985.
