INSIDE DOUGLAS COLLEGE / MARCH 7, 1989 Douglas College Foundation Update N IF] [= RR ly Foundation Sots the WIND College Departments Each year the Douglas Col- lege Foundation is pleased to support departmental initiatives in areas other than student scholarships and bursaries from the proceeds of an "undesig- nated" fund. This year, the Foundation ap- proved nine requests for funding from a wide range of programs and departments. They are as follows: Library - $273 was approved to assist with the purchase of a Handy Table for use by disabled students in the Library. Job Training for Multiple Handicapped Persons - $430 was approved to assist with the purchase of a Unicorn Membrane Keyboard to assist disabled students with data entry training. Sports Institute - $500 was ap- proved to assist with the purchase of a sound system for the weight room and fitness clas- ses. Athletics - $500 was approved to assist with the purchase of banners for team champions.
