OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND AT CAREER FAIR People who are looking for work will soon have the chance to explore various career oppor- tunities. Designed for college students, graduates, or anyone else seek- ing a new job or a career change, the Career Fair runs March 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Douglas Col- lege concourse at the New Westminster campus. High School students are also wel- come. On hand will be a host of employers from a wide variety of job fields to discuss with job seekers any questions they may have. Some of the exhibitors are Southlands Corporation, Chevron, Mohawk Oil, McDonald’s, ICBC, RCMP, Royal Columbian Hospital, In- stitute of Chartered Accountants, Certified General Accountants and the Society of Management Accountants, the Future Shop and many more. "It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to meet with prospective employers," said Cathy Daminato, who works with the Douglas College Alum- ni Association which is hosting the Career Fair. "There will be a large number of employers all in one place at one time. That makes job ex- ploration a lot easier." Students and employers can discuss on a one-to-one basis what education and skills are necessary to be successful in their chosen career, said Daminato. It’s also a perfect opportunity for people to make important business contacts in the working world," said Daminato. For in- formation on the Career Fair, contact Cathy Daminato at 520- 5400, local 4812. REARS ESTEE RSE TENDS SLOT IE LE
