Publicity and Notices.

At the Executive Meeting I notified the President of your willingness
to help out with co-ordinating information and notices for Douglas
College Staff Assoc news for the Mad Hatter. She was pleased to
accept your offer. Will you please contact her to find out how you
are to obtain the information from the Executive Committee and the
other various acting Committees. There is a Staff Development
Committee and a Negotiations Committee now active at the present time.

The following are bits and pieces from the Executive Meeting:

Negotiating Committee - are carrying on with Handbook Revisions.
Members are requested to review and send in recommendations for
changes.

Towards the Learning Community- Working Paper on the Community College in B.C.
Prepared as a Basis for Public Discussion by the Task Force on the Community
College, Dept. of Education. The executive is sending a letter reacting

to one section of the recommendations. Several individual members are
submitting Briefs to the Task Force.
