Senior Laboratory Instructor in Botany

 

Applications are invited for a 12-month full-time continuing position as a
Senior Laboratory Instructor in Botany in the Departnent of Niokopgy.

Primary duties will include the supervision, development, maintenance,
coordination, iusctruction and marking of the duberatory portions of Lwe one

Semester courses: Biology 203 (Algae and Funyi) ind Biclogy 704 ‘4etuphyt.!

Both courses are at the introductory level and involve approximately eight 3-hour

laboratory classes of about 20 studeats cach per week. The posit ton may ales
involve some instructing in the laboratory seclions of Biolopy 156 (Frinciples
of Modern Biology) and upper year Botany courses. The successful candidate will
be expected, in addition, to instruct in Summer Studies courses, in particular
Biology 150, 203 and 204 when offered.

Applicants should have an M.Se. in Biclogy with a broad background in

Botany. Expecience in laboratory instrucciag would he wreferred.

Salary range: BASE NORMAL MAXIMUM = MERIT MAXIMUM
$23,328 327,445 931,562 (1984/85 rates).
