ENGLISH: The English discipline will show a number of films of literary interest, in- cluding short dramatic pieces performed in old and middle English, adaptations of short stories, and films on authors. In addition, a slide show of literary landscapes and read- ings of poetry, drama, and fiction will take place. GEOGRAPHY: Where do you live? Join in and put your mark on our Lower Mainland map. See work on traffic flows, land use and popula- tion density done by the economic geography and cartography students. Use stereoscope glasses. Find out how weather stations work. Learn to identify different minerals. See your garden and analyse its properties. HISTORY: Display of historical cartoons, (National Policy) and photographs ( Laurier Years). European history display, and hand out on history courses at Douglas College. MODERN LANGUAGES: German; Helen Zoellmer will give a series of mini-German lessons (which have proven to be very successful in the past.) French and Spanish; Photo- | graphs, book and poster displays, along with information on courses will be avail- able for viewing. PHILOSOPHY: A book display and films will | be featured, along with a presentation by Nuclear Awareness Club and the Philosophy Club. POLITICAL SCIENCE: Students and faculty will make 10 to 15 minute presentations with slide shows on famous Canadians. There | will be short presentations on a rotating | basis with slides for "show and tell". Such subjects as Cartier, Nellie McClung etc. PSYCHOLOGY: See displays and attend the demonstrations.
