John Bremer, Commissioner of Education, has been quoted as saying he _ hopes the Conference will lead to the establishment of a task force to look into the future of teacher training in B.C. and report to the Commission on Edu- cation. The Conference is being supported by the Commission on Education. The membership of the Committee on Teacher Education is made up of represen- tation of government and public educational institutions and agencies, professional associations, citizen groups and student groups.
