In Totem Conference Championship play at Windsor Se North Vancouver, Saturday February 21, Bob and Terry showed what skill and dedication can do, beating out Totem Conference rivals in Men's Doubles play, thereby gaining a place mm the B.C. team that travels to the Western Junior College Championships slated for Saskatoon, March 7th and 8th. Bob and Terry set their sights on seins Sina the a of the season were t as elated as they were deserving when they won. In their final match against Johnston and Landers of Vancouver Commmity Bob and Terry were down 11-6 in the first game. Then they tightened up and won The second and final game was : comparative breeze at 15-6 in their ‘avour. Carswell and Riordan of BCIT racked up scores of 9-15 and 12-15 against them, but didn't appear to threaten. In other categories as well, the Doug- las Team made their best showing to date. Ann Bain placed second to Robin Jaffary of Vancouver Conmunity in the Final of the Women's Singles. Marion Boots and Beverley Green came close, close, close in Women's Doubles, in losing 15-11; 11-15; 12-15 to Evans and Barnett of Vancouver Canmmity. And, in that last game they were down 5-13! In Mixed Doubles ,Ray Branson and Sandy Gibson placed third to Kroot and Park- er of BCIT, and Rencher and Kilner of vec.
