Pridham, Dean of Educational Services, will temporarily assume the duties and responsibilities of Principal of Douglas College while a search for a permanent successor to Dr. George Wootton is carried out, Board Chairman Helen Casher announced last month. Dr. Pridham has been associated with Douglas since its inception in 1970, first as a faculty member, then as a Director of Business Pro- grams. He was appointed to his current position of Dean last year. Previously, Dr. Pridham worked in industry and education. Heather Campbell SURREY CAMPUS -— NEWTON CENTRE Occupational Training programs have begun, or will begin shortly, in the following fields: Welding, Building Construction, Industrial Drafting, Masonry-Brickwork/Stonework, General Mechanics, Automotive Parts and Warehousing, Pre-Vocational Basic Training - Grade 10 and 12, Business Careers - Clerk Typist/Stenographer/Bookkeeping-Equiv- alency. Evening programs will be offered when facilities are com- pleted and day classes full. These programs are individualized and self-paced with instructors present as resource persons.
