Congratulations to the Foundation’s Alana Frymire and husband Bill on the birth of their son, Luke Andrew, on July 2; the newest addition to the Frymire clan weighed-in at 8 Ibs. 5 Oz. Checkered reputation Brian Morton of Disabled Student Services (featured in July issue) earned his first checkered flag in Formula Car racing with a victory at Mission Raceways on July 9. Morton’s fortunes changed the next day however, when his car spun in wet conditions, sending him from the top of the podium to second-to-last place. Next year, Brian plans to buy some rain tires. Kathy claims cash The winner of June’s 60/40 draw was Kathy Rai of the Registrar’s Office. Kathy collected a cool $819, while student aid was increased by $546. Employee moves The late summer saw a number of temporary appointments around the College: Dave ‘The Cola Kid’ Seaweed is working in the Bookstore during the summer as Shipper- Receiver...joining the Registrar’s Office are Arlene Patko and Gail Johnson...Mary Lou Morris joins Centre 2000 as a Program Assistant. After a college-wide request for a new home for her family’s nine-month-old Dalmatian by Darlene Kress of Math and Sciences, Snipper is alive and well and chasing his tail around the home of IMS’ Christine Doyle.
