PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICE

 

The Douglas College Public Information
Office is now in full operation and...
its finally located on the Douglas
College side!!! Bill Bell and the new
publicist assistant, Pascale Best, are
now located at the Winslow Site,

and 48. The Public Information Office
is still handling the Kwantlen College
information services, but this should
end soon, as a PIO at Kwantlen is
presently being hired.

The PIO presently handles all the
former duties of the Publicist -

Mad Hatter, advertising, publicity,
brochures, posters, CE calendar, etc..
In addition to those duties, the
office is also starting a marketing
research component for the College.

If you or your department have any
questions on the role of the PIO or
need any help in promoting an event,
course or program and want to set up

a campaign, please feel free to contact
Bill Bell at the above numbers.

Submissions for the Mad Hatter should
be forwarded to the Winslow Site.

P.S. The promotion of a course, event
or program, does not necessarily cost
a tremendous amount of money.

The following services are being
offered by the Library this Fall:

1. Library Tours

2. In-class orientations geared to
your subject.

3, Books and xeroxed articles may
be placed on reserve for 2 hr.,

24 hr., 3 day, or 1 week loan
periods.

4, AV services are available from the
AV section of each campus Library
Research - for students who need to
learn systematic and effective
library search methods.

If you wish to have a librarian give an
orientation to one of your classes, and

~ you have not already been sent a notice,

please get in touch with ts; we would be
happy to make a presentation to your

_ students.
