Wa eS 1986 Douglas College Board Officers At a meeting of the Douglas College Board on April 17th, the following officers were elected by acclamation: Chairman -C.J. Murnane Vice Chairman -A. R Hughes Mr. Murnane has broad community interests and has served many institutions including Douglas College Board (9 years), School Trustee of Commerce, and a number of other organizations. His business experience includes 28 years witha major oil company, consulting work with Federal Business Development Bank, Executive Director Burnaby Y.M.C.A., and Administrative Manager with a large legal firm. C.J. Murnane, Chairman of the Douglas College Board. 1986 College Board Officers cont. Dr. Hughes is an M.D. (University of Alberta) and was formerly in the Executive Director of Woodlands School. Dr. Hughes is involved ina number of community organizations including the Douglas College Board (two years), the C.K.N.W. Orphan's Fund and the University Women's Association. In addition, Dr. Hughes has memberships in a number of professional organizations including the Canadian and B.C. Medical Association, B.C. Psychiatric Associ- ation, and others. M.H. MORFEY Congratulations In the recent Kiwanis Festival of Open Choral Competition, the Douglas College Community Choir, conductor Diane Loomer, placed second attaining an overall standing of 88 - A Mark of Excellence. Bravo to this fine choir! College First Aid Attendants Additional first aid attendants are needed at the College. Asa first aid attendant, you would be a member of a team trained to respond toa variety of accidents/injuries that take place at the College. Would any regular employee interested in becoming a first aid attendant please contact either Rob Corbett (local 4714) or Barb Edwards (local 2300), members of the Douglas College Health and Safety Committee. Acting Managing Director of Theatre Effective immediately Pat Thomasson shall be Acting Managing Director of the Theatre.
