DOUGLAS COLLEGE REQUIRES A LIBRARIAN

This is a one-half time public services
and cataloguing contract faculty position
for the Fall term. Responsibilities will
include reference and orientation work
and some original cataloguing. Same
evenings and weekend work will be re-
quired. Academic reference experience
and knowledge of AACR II would be an
asset.

Location: Winslow site, Coquitlam and/
or McBride site, New Westminster.

Salary will be commensurate with ed-
ucation and experience.

DOUGLAS COLLEGE REQUIRES CONTRACT
FACULTY

1. To teach two sections of written com
munications to Fire Science, Construct-
ion Management and Property and Build-
ing Management students.

The successful applicants will have the
following qualifications:

i) Ability to teach at the College level;
ii) Clearly demonstrated written and
oral communication skills;

iii) Practical business or other pro-
fessional experience in Fire Science,
Construction Management, and/or

Property and Building Management areas;
iv) Baccalaureate or equivalent degree
in a related discipline is preferred.

2. To teach two sections of basic cam-
position (expository writing) at the
College level.

The successful applicants will have the
following qualifications:

i) Substantial experience teaching com-
position at the College level, or sign-
ificant course work at the undergraduate/
graduate level in rhetoric/composition
and some relevant teaching experience at
the College level.

ii) A Baccalaureate degree in a relevant
field. A graduate degree or equival-
ent is preferred.
