Applicants must have a post-secondary degree in an appropriate discipline, considerable experience in the adult literacy field and knowledge of instructional and curriculum design. Responsibilities will include reviewing institutional program proposals, addressing curriculum development needs, addressing the development of literacy practitioners, and providing ongoing needs analysis in literacy programs. The position also involves policy development and the managing of $1.3 million cost-shared literacy projects. The provision allows two full-time regular employees to share a job, each working 18 hours per week, if specific conditions can be met. Chinese art on display The Douglas College Art Exhibit Committee is pleased to announce that three of the Chinese paintings by Wang Jinglong exhibited in the Amelia Douglas Gallery in March have been acquired by the College. The works have been permanently hung in the circulation area of the library. The paintings are entitled: Gathering Honey, Cutting Rice and Emperor Tang Runs a Restaurant.
