However, access to the college for advocacy purposes must be controlled to ensure that any form of advocacy engenders adherence to the intent of the laws, statutes, and individual rights of Canada and British Columbia, and does not constitute disagreement with the philosophy, goals or legal mandate of Douglas College. PROCEDURES/RULES 1. Any person or group wishing to distribute, circulate or display advocacy materials within Douglas College must be sponsored by a Douglas College Student or employee, or by the formal organization representing students and employees, (i.e. the Student Society, BCGEU Bargaining Unit and DCFA). 2. The sponsor of any person or group wishing to distribute, circulate or display materials will complete the "Agreement to Distribute, Circulate or Display Advocacy Materials" form. The Manager of Site Services will evaluate all materials, to ensure that the material is appropriate and in compliance with the policy statement. 3. The sponsor shall ensure adherence to the Agreement between the person or group and the College, including a decision by the College to cancel the Agreement. 4. Normal college operations will not be unduly disrupted. 5. Members of the college community will not be subjected to harassment or obstruction while using college premises. 6. The College reserves the right to unilaterally cancel the Agreement and the sponsor shall ensure that the person or group complies with this action.
