Wallin 1977 i ¢ This year's course focusses upon current problems and issues in the admin- istration of post-secondary education. Among those to be examined are: - forthcoming changes in legislation, including the Colleges Act - short and long range budget projections - monitoring programme and course quality - techniques for determining fiscal and programme priorities Resource Persons. Assisting with this year's course will be officials from the Department of Education, experienced administrators, as well as others repre- sentative of student, faculty, and council/governor groups. Dates and Course Requirements. To facilitate participation of persons from areas outside of the Lower Mainland area, the course is offered in two concen- trated segments separated by a 4-week period. SEGMENT ONE Thursday, February 24 1-5 and 7-10 p.m. Friday, February 25 9-5 p.m. Reception 5-7 p.m. SEGMENT TWO Thursday, March 24 1-5 and 7-10 p.m. Friday, March 25 9=5° pm. /Note: For students enrolled for credit there will be additional sessions on Saturday, February 26 and Saturday, March 26 each from 9-12 a.m./ For persons who wish course credit, there will be 2 assignments - one, a field-study project to be completed during the 4-week interval and two, a library research project to be submitted by April 20. Persons not wishing course credit are invited to participate on a non-credit basis.
