remember my first celebrity crush... Jimmy Smits. What? Everyone goes

through phases, okay? Needless to say, I think my taste in men has matured

and that by gawking at as many men as possible I am perfectly qualified to
select five men who I would consider to be the sexiest men alive. It wasn’t an
easy task, it took a lot of research and sifting through pictures (really rough, I
swear!) but here are my picks:

1) Christian Bale

Christian is hands down the sexiest man alive. He epitomizes “tall, dark
and handsome” with some additional “talent” and “brooding” thrown in there.
Bale has proven what an excellent actor he is several times over and I always
think that talent and good looks are the sexiest combination. I like him with his
British accent, without his British accent, in a classic black suit and especially
in the bat suit. Masculine and dreamy, Bale steals the number one spot with
very little competition.

2) Charlie Hunnam

 

Relatively unknown until his recent success in the hugely popular FX
show, Sons of Anarachy, Charlie Hunnam comes in with a close second.
Hunnam plays Jax Teller the biker with a heart of gold who is practically born
into the club. He looks nice dressed up, but I have to confess I love his ultra
masculine bad boy look on the show. How could you not love Hunnam when
he spends an hour every week just being ridiculously good looking in his
leather jacket while serving up some vigilante justice on a nice big Harley?

3) Ian Somerhalder

Ian Somerhalder, what’s not to love? A thick head of dark hair accented
by incredible baby blue eyes makes Ian Somerhalder my number three. He
made his first real debut on LOST as Boone (you remember, the hot guy with
the mega-bitchy sister?) and now plays Damon Salvatore on the CW’s The

Vampire Diaries. With slight embarrassment, I will admit that I watch The
Vampire Diaries (seriously Elaina, what are you thinking?) and I attribute my
viewership predominantly to Somerhalder. I can’t help it! The guy defines
dreamy!

4) Shemar Moore

Let me start by saying his body
is absolutely unbeatable, the less
time he spends without a shirt on
the better. I remember when Shemar
was on The Young and the Restless
years ago and now stars on Criminal
Minds and honestly the man has
not aged a single day. I swear he is
some sort of genetic miracle because
he either doesn’t age or is aging
so well that he actually gets better
looking every day. This sort of cell
.. regeneration is so impressive that he
gets my number four spot.

5) Ryan Reynolds

 

Homebred boy coming in at number five! What girl doesn’t love Ryan
Reynolds? He’s totally sexy, quirky, hilarious and represents Canada in
Hollywood oh so well. Ryan combines such a great sense of humour that, for
me, is perhaps the sexiest feature in a man with all around good looks. His
recent record with blockbuster movies doesn’t hurt either. His body in X-Men:
Origins was incredible and he wears a suit better than most men I’ve seen.
Now if he could just ditch Scarlett...
