Greetings: The Vancouver and New Westminster and District Labour Councils with the assistance of the Education Department of the Canadian Labour Congress are holding a jolnt Education Seminar on Saturday and Sunday, January 24 and 25, 1976, at the B.C. Institute of Technology. : This week-end seminar is offering a large variety of courses on topics such as, Stewards! Training for Building Trades, Stewards! Training for Industrial Unions, Stewards! Training for Provincial Government Employees, Stewards! Training for Federal Government Employees, Stewards! Training for White Collar Workers, Collective Bargaining (industrial Unions), /Wo~* men in the Work Force, Labour's Past, Present and Future (Labour History), The Citizen and the Law, Duties of Officers and Commi t- teemen, Organizing, Labour's Role in the Communi fy, Parliamentary Procedure, Labour -Legisltation and Jobs, !ncome and the Canadian Worker. Especially now that we are faced with wage controls by the Federal Government, it is of utmost Importance that Local Unions expand their educational activities to meet the educa- tional needs of their membership. We, therefore, very strongly urge your union's participation by sending as many delegates as possible. The registration fee per delegate is $15.00; this includes a free lunch on Saturday and Sunday. All registrations are to be sent to the: Education Committee, Canadian Labour Congress, 112 East 6th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C.
