The NO-OVERDUE-FEE* policy instituted

by the Library last Fall has, from all
reports, been a good thing. Its
implementation called for a high
depree of cooperation between
Library Circulation Assistants and
book borrowers.

One happy spinoff has been a notice-
able improvement in the Library's
public relations. In addition,
almost all student and faculty
borrowers seem to have accepted
willingly the greater degree of

J responsibility which has devolved
upon them to share the Library's
resources fairly by bringing books

back on time--even although the

 

threat of an ‘overdue' hassle has

  

     
 

virtually disappeared.

books and RESERVES.
