Dear Employees and Students of Douglas College:

On behalf of Mr. Bob Alexander, President and Chief Executive

Officer, Microtel Limited, and the 1985 General Campaign

Chairman, 1 would like to take this opportunity to thank you for

your ongoing support to United Way of the Lower Mainland during
985.

Our overall goal was $10.8 million and the community contributed
$10.2 million to help provide their fellow citizens with a great
variety of vital human care services. Those services are
available because more than 88 United Way funded charities are
working full tilt and to capacity, assisting more than 500,000 of
us every year.

In closing, 1 would like to thank you again and ask for your
support in 1986.
