Sicknes Accident

Emergency Procedures:

As a result of the collapse in the -gymnas ium}
a few weeks ago, and the various communi -
cations which have been circulating, we are
mandating the following procedure. This
procedure is largely the result of conver-
sations held with Deputy Fire Chief Jack

| Fulton, Bill Day and myself.

The local Fire Hall (8th and Royal ) has an
inhalator crew on duty at all times. They
are prepared to respond to a collapse im-
mediately. If they are already out on a
call when we require their assistance they
will be notified by radio and, in any case,
the Fire Department are prepared to notify
the ambulance service immediately. Therefo
in future, the first and only telephone cal
which needs to be made by anyone at the
College requiring assistance of an emergency
nature in the event of a collapse, should be
made to the Fire Department emergency number+
526-4411.

‘Once we have examined the sicustionlonwee
main floor in the P.E. area, we will be |
installing a telephone for emergency
purposes.

Parking Changes

New Westminster City Council is Highenine
restrictions on parking north of Douglas ;
College.

 

‘The move affects parking that was non-res=
tricted on the 800 block Royal Avenue now
limited to two hours parking; the 100 block
8th Street; the 100 block Ash Street, now
two hours on the east side; the 800 block
Ontario Street, a two hour limit and res-
tricted to the south side; and Gloucester
Street, restricted to two hours.
