Great interest has been shown by the students, according to Betty Lou Hayes, the new coach. “I’m looking for women who would like to be involved in coaching soc- cer and/or fitness with the team,” says Hayes. Centre closes The Douglas Centre for Enterprise Development, located on the first floor of the New Westminster campus, closed its doors at the end of July. The business counselling ser- vices which were offered through the Ministry of Advanced Educa- tion, Training and Technology, will now be offered through the Minis- try of Regional & Economic Development - Mainland South West Region. The Douglas Centre Board will continue to work with the various small business service providers and the Ministry in plan- ning for the future. In the interim, Centre Manager Sherry Naso has entered into a contract with the regional office of the Ministry of Regional & Economic Develop- ment to provide counselling ser- vices to small businesses from the Mainland South West office at 635 Columbia Street, New Westminster.
