INSIDE DOUGLAS COLLEGE / SEPTEMBER 19, 1989 20th Year Pr ojects continued from page 1 asking everyone to join in the celebration.” Public information officer Bill Bell is optimistic there will be an en- thusiastic response from faculty, staff and students to the call for spring proposals. “The 20th anniversary is a chance to celebrate our past and future,” says Bell. “We want people to have fun. The 20th anniversary is designed to be a celebration for ourselves and the community. The College is only an institu- tion, it’s the people...the faculty and staff who have made a difference. This 20 year celebration is for them to enjoy...a time to reflect on everyone's achievements.” Bell adds that several departments have already come up with some ex- cellent ideas for the celebration “and we hope the response for the spring semester will snowball.” Bell says the 20th Anniversary Steering Committee is looking for projects students and faculty would like to do at the department levels as their part of the celebration. Proposals for the spring semester should designate a specific time for the proposed event, include a budget not exceeding $500, and outline how the project will help the College achieve iis 20th anniversary goals and objec- tives. Proposal forms and copies of the 20th anniversary goals and objectives can be picked up in the Public Information Office, Room 4840.
