' DOUGLAS COLLEGE ARCHIVES a L__ date of the Fall Graduation has been shift- ed to October 13, 1983. We believe that this move will enable many more students to attend - especially from our nursing classes. Acministrative Functioning During the past two months I have received advice from the Directors and Chairmen of three of four educational divisions and from the EPPCO critique of our draft 5 Year Plan, to the effect that a thoughtful re- view of administrative operations of the col’ege would be valuable. As understand it, the concerns revolve aroind the role of the mid-managers of the fou educational divisions, and their rela- ticiship to the Management Committee. It seems to me that just as a thoughtful review of the governance system is both healthy and helpful, there is reason to car- ry out the same process on the administra- tive side - given the suggestions that have already been received. I propose that Gerry DellaMattia and Gordon Gilcan provide to the Mangement Committee a p:oposal for review of administrative processes for the Management Committee mee:ing of August 23. I would expect that the process of review and recommendation would be completed by October 30.
